Finally I made it to the Chicago Botanic Garden on my bicycle from downtown Glenview!

I took a slightly different road at the end to get to Trader Joe's on my way home.
Being exhausted after almost 10 miles it was easier to take some shots on the way back. The first image is a partial view of the beautiful Japanese plants section of the gardens.
There are a few benches here for a perfect break with breath taking views.
A few weeks ago I would turn around here not realizing that the goal is not that far away.
At Skokie Lagoons in Winnetka you can rent a Canoe or Kayak.
Early morning rides are great even on hot, humid days. The nice air and forest shade helps.
