2010 Glenview Independence Day Celebration on Monday, July 5 and be part of a 40+ year long Glenview tradition that builds memories for families and brings our community together for one glorious summer day of celebration and fun!!!

Skokie's Fourth of July parade kicks off at noon and features marching bands, tumblers, live animals, drill teams, clowns, vintage automobiles, and more. The parade runs north from Oakton Community College on Lincoln Avenue to Oakton Street, then east from downtown to Oakton Park. At 5 p.m. the fun moves to Niles West High School (Oakton Street just west of the Edens Expressway) featuring food, drinks and live bands until dusk. Finally, the spectacular 3-D Fireworks Fest begins, with the first 10,000 patrons receiving a free pair of 3-D glasses.

Morton Grove On July 4th, the Community Parade kicks off at 2:30 pm from Central & Dempster and moves west to Harrer Park. Fireworks take place at Harrer Park at 9:30 pm. This event is held at Harrer Park, 6250 Dempster Street, Morton Grove. More information on our 4th of July Festival can be found in the Summer Brochure posted on this web site in early May.

The Village of Mount Prospect 4th of July Parade will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2010 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The theme of this year’s parade will be “MOUNT PROSPECT CELEBRATES FREEDOM”. The parade begins at Prospect Ave. and Emerson Street
Park Ridge Community fireworks display will be held at dusk on Friday, July 2nd at Maine East High School. Prior to the fireworks display the Park District will host a disc jockey and interactive dancing event beginning at 6:30. At 8:00 p.m. the Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony Orchestra will present a medley of patriotic music including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.

Wilmette Park District Independence Day 2010 Celebration, will take place on Saturday, July 3, in Gillson Park. The annual Fun Run/Walk For Fun—beginning and ending in Gillson Park—will also be held on Saturday, July 3.
