To tweet or not to tweet? Why not, if the followers are really following and you follow what the follower has to say. Follow?

Here are some interesting findings and statistics that may help you with twitter. This is from someone who does not tweet a lot.

If you'd like to know How often do you tweet? Just type your twitter user name and you'll have the result in no time. I tweet on average 2.9 tweets per day.

Not to long ago ActiveRain added Short URL Clicks. As I type I have more than 320 followers and many times we wonder, does anybody click on the URL that we tweeted. As you can see on the table the numbers are pretty good in my opinion. On average 10 percent of the followers clicked to my blog post from the tweet. Follow :) ?

The numbers of the click trough that I see from FeedBurner are a bit smaller. Why smaller? When I tweet: " title of the blog just posted on ActiveRain " would send more readers, friends, colleagues from the same industry that are interested by the title of the tweeted post.

To find out more about your twitter likes, WeFollow is a great site. Just enter the tag on the top and have fun.

This one is one of my favorites. Who is not following you? If you'd like to stop the un followers, it won't take long to weed them out.

I made my lists, that helps me with a quick read, restaurant choice, real estate expertize, local sports, events ...

To mention a few locals that I click through. I have to scan Gene Mundt's Daily for real estate articles, tips etc.  Windy Citizen shares the favorites from Chicago. I added a sport and local list to be up to date with some of my favorites.

And yes, I meet a social media buddy for a lunch, dinner, coffee ... we might even check in with Foursquare.

Addicted to social media? Just a bit ... much healthier and less consuming than my once upon a time smoking vice.
