North And Northwest of Chicago Real Estate : Checking In With FourSquare In Chicago Suburbs

Checking In With FourSquare In Chicago Suburbs

Recently I started using FourSquare and I find it fun and addictive. It's like a game. It's fun collecting badges and trying to become "the mayor" of a local place. Some comments on the inter web are: " why ? ... I don't get it " . Don't we always ask our friends about a good restaurant, any local tips or suggestions?

I do only few tweets per day. With a touch of a screen I can share my location on Twitter and Facebook.

Are people really checking in?  88 different users checked to Trader Joe's in Glenview, more than ten at local Home Depot, close to 100 people checked in at the same time at major sport event.

Here is an interesting number from my Twitter account.
When I tweet a picture; about 10% of the followers click to my Twitpic.
As soon as I Tweet: Just posted on ActiveRain; there is 30 clicks to my ActiveRain post, and I do have only 200 + followers.

You can find more about FourSquare by watching the video bellow.

This is very cool, I have never tried it. When I use twitter is just to get the word about a blog thanks to AR so you are saying it boosts intrest? That is awsome. Good to know

Very interesting, Haris...foursquare seems a bit like whrrl, but with a bunch of goodies like badges and mayor-status. :)
